Beginner Wheel Throwing
Learn to create and glaze functional, decorative, and sculptural forms using a pottery wheel. Focus on developing your understanding of how to operate a potter’s wheel, while you learn to create the three basic wheel-thrown forms: cylinders/cups, bowls, and vases.

Students will need to bring: (Links are recommendations, not required brands)

- Their own set of clay/throwing tools
- Large cleaning sponge
- Small clay work sponge (We recommend buying a basic toolkit that includes one)
- Canvas (2ft x 2ft minimum)
- Small bucket for cleaning and tool storage
- (Optional) Small/detail paintbrushes for glazing
- (Optional) Plastic bags for wrapping work
Students will be provided:

- Shelf space as close to their creation station as possible
- One (1) bag of clay
