Intro to Broom Making: Cobweb Broom

Make a cobweb broom in the traditional style, this lightweight broom is great for reaching cobwebs. These brooms are functional but make great decorative items, and great gifts! Learn the basic weaving techniques used to make a broom, with natural broomcorn (sorghum) and organic handles. Leave with a completed project, maybe two.   No experience is required for this project.

Broom Making 2: Besom Broom

In this workshop, students will make a sturdy broom suitable for cleaning floors. They’ll learn how to stitch a broom flat and work with larger projects to build confidence.

To get the most out of this workshop, it’s recommended that participants first complete the introduction to broom-making course. Students can bring their own stick/handle or choose from a range of options provided.

Paint a Bourbon Bottle

Relax and enjoy an afternoon of creative painting on a bourbon bottle. We will start adding color then add your own creative touches to make it your own masterpiece. To finish we will add fairy lights to your bottle. It is great fun to paint on glass especially when it’s something that can be recycled.

Beginner Colored Pencil

Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw with colored pencils but didn’t know where to start? During this condensed four-week class, students will be introduced to techniques essential to drawing with the colored pencil medium. The class will consist of two separate projects, helping the students establish a necessary foundation on which to expand their skills.
