Speed Date Painting

Paint while speed dating: a new way of meeting people and maybe even the love of your life!

Meet potential matches, make new friends, and let the magic begin! This class will be a fun, creative new way to go on “mini dates” and hopefully make a connection that will last a lifetime! Speed Painting is an artistic twist to speed dating! Perhaps you will find your soul mate in the process of creating art.

How It Works
A person will be stationed at a canvas, every 10 minutes, a new person will come around to create the artwork together. No experience is needed. You will get to explore art together with your potential match, just for fun! Positive attitude only. All skill levels welcome.

All you have to do is sign up, show up, and sip up! All of the supplies will be waiting for you as local artist Susanna Bard helps you create a Hedwig owl painting. Get into the Hogwarts spirit with some magical creations!

Intro to Drawing Florals with Colored Pencil

Create a beautiful floral drawings using colored pencils! During this condensed four-week class, students will be introduced to drawing flowers with colored pencils. The class will consist of two separate projects that will help students broaden their experience with the colored pencil medium. Some drawing experience is recommended.

  • 24 count set of Prismacolor Colored Pencils

Beginner Charcoal

Learn the basics of using charcoal including toning, gesture, outlines, blending, highlights, shadows, and cast shadows! Walk step-by-step through the creative process with the instructor. All skill levels are welcome.

Colored Pencil, Ink Drawing & More

Explore a variety of techniques in colored pencil, ink, and mixed media. Through class projects, demonstrations, and individual instruction, the instructor will help students build on their skills, strengths, and interests with an emphasis on helping each student develop their own individual style.

Students will have the option of working on class projects or working independently on projects of their own choice.

  • Colored Pencils (Any brand, recommend at least the 36 pack of Prismacolors with an additional henna, cool and warm greys and colorless blender)
  • Bristol drawing paper  (smooth or vellum)
  • #2 pencil
  • Kneadable eraser
  • Micron or other brand pigma pens sizes: 005, 01 and 02
  • Portable pencil sharpener (battery preferred)
  • 12 inch ruler
  • Round stencil brushes
  • Turpenoid or solvent and q-tips
