Watercolor of the Wild

Learn how to paint the people, landscapes, animals, or flowers you love. Receive personal one-on-one attention, as well as daily demonstrations to help you grow in experience as a watercolor artist. All skill levels are welcome.

  • French Ultramarine Blue
  • Hooker’s Green Dark

Additional Watercolor Supplies:

  • 4 H pencil and kneaded eraser
  • Watercolor paper; 140 pound to 300-pound, rough/cold press. (individual sheets* or watercolor blocks)
  • Two plastic water containers
  • Rags or paper towels
  • Masking tape
  • A flat watercolor palette with multiple wells
  • Flat watercolor brushes, mop brush, and a script brush or liner

Please bring your own photographic images to paint from each week.

*If using individual sheets of paper, you will need a drawing board to attach the paper to

Meet other homeschoolers beginning or advancing their exposure to art. Practice drawing and gain composition skills, then paint. Explore the fundamentals of each medium and build a groundwork for further understanding, mastering, and study. 

This classroom is only accessible by stairs.

Study primary art principles, theories, and art history in this hands-on fundamentals class. This class is geared towards 7th-12th grade students and meets homeschooling requirements for junior high and high school art education.

Enjoy a relaxing Saturday while learning the therapeutic art of watercolor painting. Learn useful techniques such as layering, creating luminosity, and working with white space. All levels are welcome in this laid-back class.

Youth Fashion Illustration

Over the 4 weeks we will be creating a mini collection and illustrating the designs. We will make mood boards for inspiration and motivation. We will hand illustrate our designs and put them in a presentation format on poster paper to show all family and friends.
