Intermediate Oil Painting

Develop and hone your oil painting skills.  Using a subject of your choice, you will work on color choice, brush strokes, and will receive individualized attention.  Some drawing and painting experience is necessary.  Please bring reference photos.

Beginner Watercolor

Prepare to become a successful watercolor painter. There is a strong emphasis on drawing and painting subjects such as landscapes, architecture, and water scenes. No experience in watercolor painting is required.

Intermediate Wheel Throwing

Create challenging functional, decorative, and sculptural forms using the pottery wheel. Develop various throwing techniques introduced from previous beginning level throwing classes. Improve existing wheel-throwing skills, create more advanced forms, and explore advanced glazing methods.

We prefer students take a couple of beginner wheel throwing classes before registering for this class.

    • Shelf space as close to their creation station as possible
    • One (1) bag of clay

Advanced Watercolor

Learn how to paint the people, landscapes, animals, or flowers you love. Receive personal one on one attention as well as daily demonstrations are given in order to help you grow in experience as a watercolor artist. Some painting experience is required.

Other Supplies:

  • 4 H pencil and kneaded eraser
  • Watercolor paper. 140 to 300-pound, individual sheets or watercolor blocks (rough/cold press). If using individual sheets of paper, you will need a drawing board to attach the paper to.
  • Two plastic water containers
  • Rags or paper towels
  • Masking tape
  • Flat watercolor palette with multiple wells
  • Flat watercolor brushes, mop brush, and a script brush or liner.

Please bring your own photographic images to paint from each week.
