Monday Beginner Wheel Throwing

Create and glaze functional, decorative, and sculptural forms using a pottery wheel. Students will develop their understanding of how to operate a pottery wheel as they work on teacher-led projects and practices.

Students are required to follow the instructor’s curriculum. Only work produced from that curriculum will be fired.

No makeup classes will be made available in the case of illness or inclement weather.

Supply List

Students will need to bring:

  1. Own set of clay or throwing tools
  2. Large cleaning sponge
  3. Small clay work sponge
  4. Approx. 2ft x 2ft piece of Canvas
  5. Small bucket for cleaning and tool storage
  6. (Optional) Small/detail paintbrushes for glazing
  7. (Optional) Plastic bags for wrapping work

Students will be provided:

  1. Shelf space as close to their creation station as possible
  2. (1x) bag of clay

    • We recommend buying a basic toolkit with a small sponge included.
  4. Small Bucket for cleaning

Beginner Stained Glass

Explore the tools, strategies, and techniques used to cut and grind glass into your own custom designs. Foil, solder, and patina to finish your piece. This class is set up as a beginner class or a refresher class. No glass working experience is needed.

This class is construction-based; hand strength and dexterity are required.

Stained Glass: Garden Butterfly

Discover the basic steps and proper tools used to make stained-glass art. You’ll create your own stained-glass piece in a step-by-step, group-learning environment. Leave with a seasonal butterfly garden stake just in time to plant it in your garden for spring! This workshop is construction based; hand strength and dexterity are recommended.

Wizard Herb Planters

Discover the magic of working in clay as you create a PAIR of Harry Potter inspired Herb Planters. Learn how to create and alter slabs of clay into your favorite magical garden. You can choose to embellish your planters with wizardry symbols such as Hogwarts Houses, the Deathly Hollows, Weasley Wheezes, the Dark Mark, the Three Broomsticks, and more!
